I also agree people need to be cautious of the safety of supplements and should research the companies making them.
@labdoor is one resource for doing so. And also always consult a doctor and get vitamin level bloodwork. I.e Vit. D or B12 supplements make sense if your deficient. - Show replies

I agree with your more broader points that people should have a healthy skepticism about supplement claims as their are supplements that make ridiculous claims. Like the ones that promise to cure Tinnitus. But lumping in 90% of supplements into this category is unfair.
