Check out the wonderful claims on this bad boy No nasties added! No hexane or sulphur! It's still oil, but at least it doesn't have hexane I guesspic.twitter.com/OD2Wd2ZzQe
It may be 4 litres of canola oil, but at least it's lower in sat fats than olive oil and has omega 3s!pic.twitter.com/6Zo81YlMel
Bog standard vegetable oil, as you may have seen used in McDonalds But, uh, more omega 3s I guess?pic.twitter.com/NL4d8REV5q
Last but not least, peanut oil It's super high olieg (*good for you) whatever the hell that meanspic.twitter.com/kKMJ782osG
Obviously, all of these things are basically identical health-wise The claims are pretty much nonsense
You might get a tiny addition to certain nutrients by switching oils, but they're still mostly just liquid fat Doesn't stop them from marketing those wonderful claims though!
Agreed that most of the health claims are nonsense, but not sure I agree that they’re identical or just fat. Most of them will have different compositions of fatty acids, and different effects in the body.
Yeh I guess I'm just more amused by the hilarious idea that a few minor changes in an oil would have a major impact on your health, rather than it mostly being about how much you use etc
