Seriously, showing that a chemical will cause bioluminescent bacteria to light up in a petri dish is worlds away from saying that artificial sweeteners are bad for you

Also, this was the effect of various sweeteners on a single strain of E. Coli, it's not even clear whether this would transfer to other strains of bacteria
