That being said, I also am apparently much more trusting of healthcare institutions, perhaps because I measure the Australian system against other ones overseas and I can see that we're actually one of the better ones

Really? I honestly think our democracy is one of the better systems in the world. Not perfect, sure, but definitely more robust to a lot of the factors that make place like the US really problematic

I have not. I rarely read non-fiction tbh, non-work reading is for fun and I already go through 2-3 studies a day anyway, non-fiction books just seem like too much effort sometimes Maybe I'll give it a go
