The overwhelming majority of unvaccinated people in the US are migrant or ultraorthodox religious communities, yet our press sensationalizes the anti-vaccination movement Serbia, hardest hit of the EU outbreak, has a cultural wall and lack of access, not an anti-vax movement
-
To an extent that's true, but equally the countries with the lowest vaccination status in Europe with the highest absolute numbers of cases such as France and Italy also have the strongest anti-vax movements

The effects of war and austerity need to be considered too. Half those cases are in the Ukraine and a lot are in Greece. Don’t know circumstances in Georgia and Serbia, can’t imagine governance isn’t an issue there too though.

I work at an elementary school and I think it is surprising how many parents don’t vaccinate their children. The number grows every year and it’s probably like this across the country.

It is not the dead who R the tragedy. They R simply casualties of parental neglect/abuse. It is maimed/handicapped kids who live the rest of their lives with the legacy of measles, if they R not lucky enough 2 fight it off successfully with their own immune response, who suffer.
