Good point. I lost 60 lbs (27kg) following WFPB diet since 2013. Added a bit of fish, removed gluten and oils & sugars. My relative lost 50 lbs (23kg) in 1 yr on Keto. Half of weight came back on since 2016. Very difficult to stay on 20gr net carbs for long term. Not sustainable.

Not sustainable for your relative does not mean not sustainable. It’s time for fewer anecdotes and more good science.

Bingo. People asked me how I did it. I would say I ate WFPB. I would hear protein inadequacy or their own diet. I would ask them 2 Q's. 1) how much want to lose & 2) how long want to keep off? Would get bewildered looks, & "Everybody diets" refrain & inevitable loss regains.
