. @AuDigitalHealth @MyHealthRec If I don't opt out, but I don't want any information uploaded to #MyHealthRecord yet, is there a way to achieve this? Is there any information that gets automatically added when your record is created?
MBS and PBS data, as far as I'm aware. Everything else is added later.

Cool. If you were hypothetically worried about data security of
#MyHealthRecord , can you stay in but not allow your MBS and PBS data to get added? I'm thinking of scenarios where people want to use#MyHealthRecord but not until the privacy/security concerns have been addressed. -
Nope. It's all automated. What you CAN do is delete all the data from your record, although currently that is a bit time-consuming Also, discharge summaries and pathology results will be automatically added as they are collected, just not right when you sign up

Mainly because I think that opting out sends the wrong message...it sends the message 'I don't want an eHealth record'. Rather than 'I really really want one but I want better privacy & security first'

@IGsAreGR8@darlenecox I know we can opt out and join later, but see above for why I think staying in is a better idea - Show replies
