Annoying things about #MyHealthRecord:
a) fear-mongering: many of the objections I'm seeing now are absurd
b) ignorance of benefits: there are actually some really great things FOR THE INDIVIDUAL about MHR, but it's lost in a sea of angry yelling
Gotta say, I disagree with that. I think there are a lot of fantastic health workers who don't take the amount of care with patient data that the MHR act requires

Agree. But logging won't help those confidentiality breaches (leaving the record open on the laptop in the lift - the log shows a doc who's OK to access your record accessed your record), leaving your patient list in the coffee shop - not in the log at all.

Mmm, but I suspect the penalties will make mistakes and carelessness much less likely. Currently, most people who do silly things like that face relatively minor workplace sanctions, not criminal charges
