Annoying things about #MyHealthRecord:
a) fear-mongering: many of the objections I'm seeing now are absurd
b) ignorance of benefits: there are actually some really great things FOR THE INDIVIDUAL about MHR, but it's lost in a sea of angry yelling
But as a consumer, I would argue that it is actually a bit of a relief to have some visibility over who accesses my health data. I know a lot of doctors. They are often very blase about health info. It is nice to know that I can check and see who's been accessing things and why

that's great (not sarcasm). if they are providing some level of comfort, then they're not a complete waste. But I'll still be telling my plwHIV to opt out because knowing who's fucked up their life doesn't unfuck it for them.
