Most dog food is low/very low carb (10-30%). Cats are obligate carnivores who eat almost exclusively meat. If they're fat, it's because you feed them too much! https://twitter.com/Cindy63021001/status/1018878811939704833 …

Checked with my wife, the vet: "that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard"

Carbs and sugar are a big issue in human diets too. As a diabetic myself not on insulin yet I know I can control it better through diet. There is still a lot misunderstood and research is ongoing so you can think it’s stupid if you want but I don’t

Too many carbs that turn into sugar could be breeding grounds for cancer according to current research and if your pet has cancer or tumors what is there to lose by trying to adjust their food instead of a bunch of meds to prolong their life?

Go to http://ketonaturalpetfoods.com  and just read what they have to say. They also recommend speaking to your vet first before trying it. Obviously yours did not agree but maybe they don’t know about it as an option yet to raw diet. its a choice. What’s wrong with that?

I mean, you can feed dogs a diet of almost exclusively meat. Calling that "keto" is just a marketing slogan

If you take a moment and read about the research being done it might make more sense. I used to think it was just a bunch of hooey and a fad myself. Diabetes is no joke. Cheap fillers in pet foods make them cheaper to produce like fast food.
