Also worth noting that it is ENTIRELY UNCONTROVERSIAL to say that spending ~$4,000 a year per person on an integrated diet/exercise/medical program is extremely effective at controlling diabetes Virta did nothing that others have not already done without low-carb dietshttps://twitter.com/EAllen0417/status/1011706268874989568 …

Did any of them achieve 60% remission rate with a lot less meds and a +80% adherence rate over one year (or better, because that's something so trivial)? That sounds awesome, please let's see all those studies!

Some had a 60% remission rate, depends on the methodology. The DIRECT trial had a much cheaper, less intensive intervention with 50% remission and similar adherence I'll find the link

@gidMK, I would like to know which studies you are referring to, but a prevention study comes to mind http://www.niddk.nih.gov/about-niddk/research-areas/diabetes/diabetes-prevention-program-dpp …Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

What are you smoking Gideon? No remission by dietitian's in Australia. In fact not even dietetian's guidelines for T2DM since 2006 & you have the nerve to stick your inflated head in the ground & dismiss Virta's results? Shame on you & Australia's dietitians.pic.twitter.com/dhWeTQEffh
