...that's literally how bias works though! If it didn't have an influence on the conclusion, then the funding makes no difference at all, surely?

The "human error" bit - confirmation bias & all that....and not everyone doing the SR was a seasoned dietitian/reviewer - better to ask the Y/N as well to flag industry funding? Seems odd you are ok with other bias, but "industry bias" is bothering you?

This is not new, there's been a lot of data that shows even small amounts of money can affect HCP behaviour. It would be naive to assume that we can appropriately weight that influence in research.
