What?? Your argument is that the current methodology is wrong. Rephrasing that doesn't change anything...

Maybe check back through - I’ve asked we use the methodology (sub-standard as I think it is) bc we have this data set there to run a series of sensitivity analyses. One of which is “if we took our all industry funded research what does that look like”

Right. But there's no justification - that I can see - for such a project, aside from "industry is bad, duh". So it seems to me that, if the methodology used was evidence-based, the analysis you're proposing would not add to the evidence base

Tweeting from train to "healthsville"... methodology - SR&MA was not under dispute at all here. In fact, I'd said, SR&MA IS equipped to run sensitivity analysis to answer the question "what would the ADG look like if we removed industry-funded research"?

And, as I've said, you've offered no scientific justification for that question. Why not just use the current guidelines?

A research question is how the science process starts. "The evidence suggests what we've been doing isn't working. To know how to do better we need to understand what it is we do well". Not sure what other "science" you need here. This is actually a ridiculous conversation

FRCD is the greatest global threat to health.....why would I not critically review what our default evidence is? "Just use the ADG" for what? I've already said GRADE C is not sufficient to base national food guidelines on (especially where we've not considered adverse outcomes)

Its fine for you to disagree with that....but that doesn't make the proposal "wrong" nor "unscientific" What planet are you on where "everyone is food healthy"? and "healthy choices are easy choices?" there's work to do.

I said none of that? My point is that you've yet to provide a rationale for discarding all industry-funded research. I'd love to see one.

Stop Gid - I've said "if we removed all industry funded studies what would the ADG look like"

I mean...you're asking for us to remove all industry funded studies from the evidence-base. Adding "just see what is left over" doesn't change that...
