But that doesn't mean that we should stop advocating for reductions in obesity. It is almost always better for your health to get to a *healthy* weight - not always, but most of the time

IMPORTANT ADDENDUM: people often present body acceptance as one of two choices - either you agree that weight has no impact on health, or you are fatphobic I do not agree

It is possible to try and reduce the stigma of obesity, promote acceptance of people who are not thin, and still accept that weight contributes to chronic disease
