Often gifted students get additional work to complete if they finish early. Tomlinson (1997) notes that this is not a best practice for gifted students. What innovative early finisher activities do you use for your gifted students?

As a classroom teacher, I made an attempt to use technology tools to provide students who finished early with activities that challenged them on their level while measuring their success in a way that I could monitor and track such as ReadTheory or Zearn. What tools do you use?

Michael Jordan inspired Kobe. Kobe inspired many other athletes... Think about how many young kids all the EDUCATORS around the world are INSPIRING today. Like MJ and Kobe, make your PRESENCE FELT in your classroom. You may never know your true impact but IT WAS ALWAY THERE!

School discipline must be purposeful to be effective. If you discipline because they 'deserve it' or because that's 'the rule' then your'e doing this as a punishment and all that will happen is that you will ruin a relationship.

Adversity strengthens kids, and actually working towards something & creating something real is how you feel good about yourself, not playing video games or having your parents rescue you from every bad day. Watch this & see what I mean via

CLASSROOM CULTURE... “You can’t expect a student to BEHAVE if they don’t think YOU BELIEVE!” Students will go to the ends of the earth for the teacher that makes them feel like they can achieve their dreams!
