Do you think this person wanted to do this? Do you think they would risk themself in a society that equitably distributes resources and supports people who are in difficult situations? People are struggling and Walgreens is hoarding wealth. This is a consequence of that.

You can’t force the businesses to stay open, though, can you? If a San Francisco Walgreens doesn’t make enough show a net profit (particularly hard in a city with crazy high rents and high minimum wages) it just closes. Walgreens does not run charity giveaway centers.

That’s not very much $ to Walgreens. That’s a “go away” figure. In the future, the they’ll just evolve better strategies for avoiding the hassle… like just staying away from some markets, and investing and creating jobs elsewhere. No company stands still and takes abuse.
