Why is @YouTube so random?
I can have 'normal performing videos one day, and the next day I get litteraly 20% of I used to get when I upload a new video
Really annoying @TeamYouTube

Could be down to which videos get recommended etc. Maybe you're used to your videos getting recommended and thus you're used to higher views. I haven't had a high view video for ages, likely due to my smaller size and lack of exposure. It's tough because we get no info about it.pic.twitter.com/cKhM2UjkaH

That's YouTube for ya I guess... The question is: Why do some video get recommended and why some don't? Like, I could tell with my latest video within the first 10 minutes that it would get shit views... So it's been decided by the algorithm in the first couple of minutes.. :o

It’s quite possible that’s the case. It’s so hard to nail down what the best practice is. Plus that can all change anyway when the algorithm is altered. Best bet is to focus on the more you make, and the higher the quality, the more chance there is of it blowing up. It’s hard man

You got that right man. It's so demorilising to see someone like shane Dawson uploading a video, and getting your whole channel's total view count on 1 video within 20 hours

100%. It sucks. But at least if you make it to the other side, well then you’ve done the hard work and you can reap the huge benefits. Just keep going
