In speaking with about #PreyMovie he told me something totally rad about that big Easter egg at the end of the movie. Haven’t seen it reported anywhere else so maybe an exclusive? I don’t know for sure. Either way, you’ll like the film even more after reading this.

Prey is as worthy & badass a Predator movie as we've seen since the original. Beautifully shot, tightly written, excellent characters, and some of the grossest, most wildly entertaining sci-fi action in the franchise. It's exciting, fun, powerful, & I can't wait to watch it again

Joker 2's release date coming right after WB says its strategy is to make DC films major spectacles only is perfect. Joker wasn't that. It took a known IP & tried something different with it, then became a huge hit. Exactly the kind of thing this new strategy doesn't allow for.

This whole episode is awesome - McQuarrie talks about the MI7-8 titles for example - but Cruise comes on 90 minutes in and really digs into the history of the franchise and his history in cinema. Really fascinating stuff.

Look, obviously the world sucks and everything is terrible but when you tell your brother who doesn’t watch a lot of movies to watch and he sends you this text, you realize maybe there is hope and joy to be had.

As someone who was waiting for Hall H before you had to wait for Hall H, I very much enjoyed & appreciated this piece by . Perfectly captures the highs & lows of the experience. And by “lows” I mean looking for a place to shit.

Continued positive tests for Covid mean I won't be heading to my screening tonight. Boyz II Men and Disneyland are one thing. But now Covid is taking away the Bullet Train. NOT MY BULLET TRAIN!!!!

Been 8 days since first, mild symptoms. 6 days since first positive test. I’m currently feeling 90% better with only a light sniffle but still can’t shake this fucker. Hopefully this week.

Watched Patriot Games for the first time in forever tonight, and that’s a good movie, but not as good as the episode of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? we watched on YouTube after. That show was a Swiss watch. So damned good. Underrated even among its nostalgia & praise.

Just finished Light & Magic. First 4 episodes are near perfection, especially since it exclusively uses footage from the original Star Wars films. Last 2 episodes move a little too quickly and skip a whole bunch but that’s a small gripe. It’s well worth a watch for any film fan.
