    Important data - we showed the dramatic increase in hospital admissions for OH in UK particularly in over 75s. Also increase in admissions for falls ?due to changes in treatment of hypertension.

    As age of death increased, healthcare costs decreased while social care costs increased. This has important implications given our ageing society, growing care demands, and ongoing funding shortages in the social care system

    We found the end of life period was associated with £7,450 of additional costs, across planned/unplanned hospital care, ED care, outpatient care, primary care and social care. Unplanned hospital care was the largest contributor, accounting for £4,218 (57%)
