    I literally NEVER thought I'd see this happen but oh boy what a time to be alive. So, some Taliban officials visited Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood of Kabul (which is a Shi'ite/Hazara neighborhood) and attended a Shi'ite Ashura mourning event. 😮

    Awful news. One of the prototypes of the Il-112V military light transport aircraft crashed in Kubinka today. It appears the engine caught fire.

    Zaranj is first provincial capital to fall, without a shot fired. Former governor/warlord Abdul Karim Barawi clearly calculated that it was better to run & get his people out than fight the Taliban. ANDSF is engaged in other major cities, it will be hard pressed to retake Zaranj

    Badakhshan is all but lost at this point. The Afghan gov.t abandoned 5 districts, including Wakhan(!) over the past 24 hours. The Taliban didn't have enough manpower to fully occupy 4 of them, so technically they are contested. I have 22 of 28 districts Taliban controlled.

    🇾🇪: Recent satellite footage of Perim (Mayyun) shows continued development activities on the strategically located island, including the establishment of foundations for a possible new runway on its northern edge. Work on the larger runway ceased in 2017.
