This is an olive branch Stefan, you should have a look. Scientists can pull carbon samples from ice and rock that are hundreds of thousands & millions of years old. Thats how they accurately predict the age of fossils. 1/2

All living things absorb carbon from the atmosphere and food sources around them, so carbon samples in ancient rock and ice indicate exactly how much carbon was in the atmosphere during a particular epoch, or geological time frame. 2/2
