    Throughout the bushfires crisis we Australians received an outpouring of compassion and empathy from around the world the likes of which we could hardly have imagined. We should remember that when we see other people around the world experiencing hardship and tragedy.

    I’ve seen for myself a breathtaking arrogance among some scientists who imagine that sexism and racism exist in other people, not them. Well, actually, we all have bias because that’s what living in this world does to you. Imagining otherwise ensures only that nothing changes.
