If Dave Chappelle had so blatantly attacked another minority group, such as Asians, Muslims, or Jews, would Netflix have so readily stood by his artistic freedom? It’s hard not to feel like trans people are considered fair game in today’s America. This is why we must speak out.

I can understand why so many are hurt and offended by his comments, and those feelings are valid. His point is about how United and progressive the LGTBQT community is and how much they’ve accomplished, while the black community are still being killed bc they are black.

He has and does all the time. Have you not seen his show? Getting outraged about comedy is the lowest of low.

did not attack trans people in his special "The Closer." He did draw attention to the clear distinction that a trans person's feelings are given higher value than a black man's life in this country. Watch the special, and you'll see the point he is making is ...

... that minority groups with white people (LGBTQ) have achieved more toward equality and fair treatment in decades than black Americans have in centuries.

He literally made a joke about Asian and black people within the first ten minutes of The Closer. Y’all didn’t even watch it. 🤣

He tried to offend every group, literally said the LBGTQ community would be the only one who’d freak out. He set the timer and when it went off, he was proven correct. He even said they’d float right past everything else, and they did.

There was no attack blatant or otherwise. It appears the LGBTQ community is deliberately being obtuse and going on the offense (proving his point) He just pointed out that as a marginalized group they have a lot of power as compared to the black community.

I’m fat. I can take a few fat jokes. A few fat jokes made in a good natured spirit. But jokes made in a malicious spirit are different. Jokes made that cut low are different. I don’t actually know precisely what Dave said but we have to have lines that shouldn’t be crossed.

“I don’t actually know precisely what Dave said”. So you are taking the word of the offended as truth. That victims are always righteous without reviewing evidence. As Al Franken said on SNL “you can’t carpet the world so you better wear slippers” cuz someone is always offended
