George, you declared @CraigMurrayOrg 'a fool' for challenging the official narrative on Douma. Would you like to comment on the latest revelations from a second OPCW whistleblower? https://timhayward.wordpress.com/2019/10/27/major-revelation-from-opcw-whistleblower-jonathan-steele-speaking-to-the-bbc/ … https://twitter.com/GeorgeMonbiot/status/983623923626422273 …

You say nothing about the systematic bombing of hospitals in Idlib and the many other massive crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Assad government. Yet you amplify any and every possible exoneration - however tenuous - of just one of its crimes. You're apologists.

We've recognised 'the bloody ruthlessness of the Syrian Baathists, epitomised by Assad's father and continued now by his son, Bashar'. But why won't you answer a reasonable question, do you still believe @CraigMurrayOrg was 'a fool' to challenge the US-UK narrative on Douma?

Say, for the sake of argument, there wasn’t a CW attack at Douma (unlikely to be true, in view of the evidence). It would be one great crime Assad had not committed, against tens of thousands he has. Yet this is the issue you obsess about. Why? Because you’re apologists.

You’re clever about it. You never say “we love Assad”. But you devote great efforts to casting doubt on his crimes, promoting even preposterous theories such as Theodore Postol’s, while attacking those who draw attention to the reality of what is happening in Syria.

You are as partisan as any of those you criticise, downplaying the crimes of one side, while rightly drawing attention to the crimes of the other. You invert the Washington narrative to favour the bloody dictators the Western powers contest.

Because it lends weight to credible doubts about Houla, Ghouta, Khan Sheikhoun and other claims, exactly mirroring the campaign of lies used to justify regime change wars in Iraq and Libya. It fits with what we know and expect. Is that not important to you as a critic of power?

If the United States wanted regime change in Syria, don't you think they'd have done it already? Why continue to faff around with all of these alleged false flags? If your theory was right, wouldn't they have faked enough attacks now to start a major bombing campaign?

But if there wasn't a attack Chemical attack in Douma, like the "rebels" claimed there was, that means they lied & the media parroted those lies. How can we believe them about attacks on hospitals etc.I'm not saying civilians haven't been killed, they have, by both sides.
