    In my case, one of the few good things about becoming the oldest president -- or anything -- is seeing my friend President Carter just recently looking strong and doing so well following a tough diagnosis two years ago. You can’t keep a good man down.

    Wonderful visit today with 104 year-old Lt. Jim Downing, USN, Ret., the oldest living survivor of Pearl Harbor. Giving thanks this week especially for Americans like him who have answered the call of duty throughout our history.
