I like the idea of that being sold to the masses, but anyone who understand asymmetrical encryption is going to have a hard time believing this. Whoever left these keys sitting around were just stupid in the handling.

The FBI cannot get access to Bitcoin wallets. They have no special backdoor, technology, or techniques that give them access.

It’s possible the FBI compelled someone to reveal the private keys to the Bitcoin address in question. It’s possible they compelled a custodian to give up the Bitcoin. It’s possible the hackers were foolish enough to store their private keys on a computer instead of offline.
