I am seven months from Medicare and I cannot tell you how comforting that is to me. Everyone wants to have affordable care that they don’t have to worry about when they’re sick. We can get there.

I receive government insurance as a death benefit from my late husband who worked for the government when he died in 2008. I get to keep it as long as I continue to pay the premium and not take other insurance. Why are the American people not offered something similar?

I will buy into it in a heartbeat, if it's similar to Medicare accepted in every state. The county run public health care I was on in California (Medi-cal) was atrocious and I would never buy into that.
