Govmt scientists find that the oilsands are underestimating their ghg emissions by a whopping 65%. The industry already emits over a tenth of Canada's annual ghg emissions. This would push their emissions up to 1/7th of Canada's total annual emissions...

So, Cdn Oil Sands co's are paying Google so if someone searches federal climate policy or climate change they get industry misinformation and these same company emissions are single largest reason Canada can't meet our climate targets?! 🤦‍♀️

In August 1972, three Shell staff wrote an article in Nature pushing back against the environmental risks modeled in the landmark Limits To Growth report by the Club of Rome. In fact, as told , the CO2 projections in Limits To Growth were "sadly prescient."

Yep. Or the fact that like 90% of emissions come not from production, but burning the oil, which nobody’s planning to capture. Surprised not to hear this mentioned today. I can only hope Galloway’s baiting a bigger company’s CEO to come in for a genuine grilling.

The American Gas Association is fighting electrification efforts across the country One way it does that is by advising their members, gas utilities, to set up front groups “Build a local and/or state consumer coalition to serve as the spokesperson for the natural gas industry”
