how separable is aesthetic attraction from sexual attraction how much distance is there between "wow they are really hot" and "i would like to have sex with them"

"aesthetic attraction" strikes me as not the correct term maybe "aesthetic appreciation"? bc attraction means you want something from/with them sexual attraction = want sex, romantic attr = want relationship, attr as a friend = wanna hang what would be "aesthetic attraction"?

so aesthetic attraction would be like a romantic attraction but without the sexual component? never happened to me

hmm i think the "aesthetic" part has to have some physical component to it (romantic attraction without sexual component seems like platonic love?) but im wondering about the physical component->sexual component relationship

then i guess for me there is no distinction, bc "physically attracted" and "sexually attracted" feel like the same thing but very distinct from "wow that person is beautiful/handsome"

These feel pretty distinct to me, especially after having had sex with someone. There's a kind of distinction between some sort of... physical fascination with someone vs a desire to have sex with them. Very correlated but neither necessarily implies the other.

(which is again distinct from visual fascination. There's a kind of "I would like to stare at you" that is correlated with but different again from the other two)
