Yeah, it's an emotion that requires careful handling. I don't think I'd ever consider it safe to deploy against someone I had meaningful power over, and really it's better to distance myself from people I feel this towards at the earliest possible convenience.

But yeah I'm not really sure how to handle things like this where skillfull handling is required to do them ethically. The best I've got is to model skillfull behaviour and correct unskillfull behaviour where I think it will help. I doubt I've got the balance right though.
Though in the context of the original tweet I handled it by just deliberately being a massive asshole to someone (two someones really) partly because they deserved it, partly because it was fun, and I'm extremely fine with that.
