I mean some of the shadow questions are genuinely pretty good, don't get me wrong, but all I need to do for the whole thread to work is clear a really low bar for success and get a good coverage of topics.

The trick with the shadow questions thread is that I can ask you pretty much any question that causes you to introspect and it'll reveal uncomfortable insights you've been ignoring because of the sheer volume of stuff you're ignoring.

lily: presumably you have a much higher hit rate with people who don't have a relationship with their therapist that involves being asked questions that feel like knives in the chest on a regular basis

(to be clear, we wouldn't get anywhere with one who doesn't, but that doesn't mean it doesn't sting in the moment. definitely raises the bar over time, though)
