Not all the time mind. It seems to be specifically brainfog states that respond badly to coffee and well to something like this.

to me it feels like a time compromise what you really need is a relaxer, but that takes time so you quickly drink something that helps you make the most of your unrelaxedness
-
Yeah although I often feel like it's a false compromise. Coffee takes half an hour to kick in anyway and if you're feeling shitty as opposed to just tired it doesn't necessarily make you more productive

My anxiety plummeted this morning when I drank my first cup. Warm drink, comforting taste. And now I'm feeling very active and productive.

Yeah caffeine affects different people differently I think. It's not that I don't drink it (I'd like to quit, but never manage), but I think I tend to respond by drinking more in situations where it's unhelpful.

I find little walks and time in nature similarly refreshing/motivating
-
Yeah, I do this too, but I don't find it helps quite as much. Possibly partly because the walks near me are not that great.

This. Moving end of this month and 95% of my choice of apt is driven by having a soaking tub that I can decompress in
