It's been commented recently that my approach to personal development is unusual in this corner of Twitter and I've been reflecting on this and I think it boils down to two controversial principles:

I recall a book on modeling cognitive processes by neural networks talking about how the behavior of a network will exhibit a qualitative change after enough quantitative changes, so that qualitative differences in behavior aren't evidence for qualitatively different mechanisms.

Yeah I think there's that too, but what I have in mind was more like say a body shift in the Focusing sense, where you've done all the work to get to the point where you can identify the problem and then once you have your sense of it shifts and you feel it differently.
