Spiritual high without fixing your problems is dumb mysticism. Fixing your problems without a spiritual high is... well, it's okay, but you're missing half the fun.

I prefer normal mysticism. The kind of mysticism that is based on visions etc. borders on psychosis and is hard to filter the useful stuff out. If you have creative ideas without the images of God or whatever, you're much more functional, and also a mystic in my book.
