Sex is better when there's love involved (not necessarily a romantic relationship, but some sort of love is important). Sex is also better when you understand your partner's responses. Also when the sex is great it's more likely to become non-casual.
Oh, if "causal" was intended, it's because statistics doesn't lead to good sex.
