I get a lot of out of the blue DMs and a lot of them are pretty good, but I think it helps that either they're generally not hitting on me or if they are I'm too oblivious to tell.
"not saying you're smart or cute but you follow smart people and we'd look cute together"
(Past performance in person suggests that some large subset of them are probably hitting on me and I am just that oblivious, but I'm pretty sure most of them aren't)
