Yeah, sufficiently assumed competent is key. If people see you as competent, caring of others only comes as a bonus. Women often need to put in a lot of work to be seen as competent, but a large part of it is undoing all that internalized programming.

Yeah. I wonder if there's a threshold of confidence where things flip and people will treat you with enough presumed competence that you can do this without it being read as uncertainty, or whether sexism remains why we can't have nice things even at that point.
