I must admit I found it incredibly annoying. It's a super useful book, but the style was so offputting.
hmmm I don't remember anything about the style off the top of my head so it must not have offended me much glad you found it useful at least though
It's got a very "female self-help" style and I'm normally fine with that to some degree but I feel like she dialled it up to 11 and the result was just Too Much.
I loved the book, but I've heard a couple of other people say that... can sort of see what they mean but the content was so important to me that I barely noticed the style
I partly noticed the style because I found myself skimming a lot as a result of it. There were a lot of really important and useful ideas in there but also sometimes I found myself going "yes I get it now" and skipping ten pages of enthusiasm and anecdote that followed the point.
