I guess we need to complete the grid now, so... WOMEN: What are some feminine coded traits and behaviours that you really enjoy having/doing?

Reading your threads more and more my take is the idea of masculinity is not salvageable. Look how easy these answers are! And no one dies in them. That protector vibe in the masculine threads - that's protection from other men. That's not a great look.

Honestly I think my take is just that men are bad at this and need a helping hand if we're going to salvage masculinity. To your specific point, there's a *lot* of stuff to protect people from that isn't just other men.

Partly in that men absolutely do not have a monopoly on violence - physical violence is disproportionately male, sure, but people need protecting from emotional abuse just as often and that's often from women too.

Also the protector role tends to be more generalised as handling emergencies - there's a problem, I'll sort it, etc.

I guess if men need help with this then I'm patient zero and in dire need. I'm coded all wrong to begin with and sick of feeling like I'm bad at my gender

I think this pandemic is pretty distressingly widespread TBH.

I kinda feel like it's hard to actually understand masculinity because all of the people who are doing serious and interesting thinking about gender don't like it very much and all the people who are super into it have pretty unappealing and narrow models of it.
