Dudes will often times out of their need to feel useful go to extraordinary lengths to help you with something if they know that they especially have the expertise to make a difference. Techy forums are basically built on this trait, and it's beautiful.
Huh, yeah. Actually I think the fact that I hadn't realised that was a guy thing probably explains some missteps I've made in the past. (Also, puts an interesting spin on emotional labour discourse TBH)
