One area people's intuitions seem very split on is whether it feels actively dangerous to have things that most people agree on but nobody is willing to say.

I'm on the side of feeling it's dangerous, but I can see why others intuitively feel the opposite. Taboos on discussion are dry tinder - some people worry more about the dangers of letting it pile up, some people worry more about where the fire will spread.
Yeah, I agree, I totally get where people are coming from, but I'm still going to be in high alert in its presence.

I don't think I have, personally. Something is always an aversive topic, it just changes depending on which space you're in.
