One area people's intuitions seem very split on is whether it feels actively dangerous to have things that most people agree on but nobody is willing to say.

I feel like most people intuitively feel like people should be able to say anything until they start noticing exceptions...
Yeah, that's probably true, but it's what they do when they notice the exceptions that seems to be decisive.
