Yes. You are acquiring useful information about your preferences around the decision. Acquiring useful information is rational. (Also your feelings may suggest useful insights that you can then verify logically if you like and it feels useful)

Also a lot of decisions don't warrant a tonne of effort and so you might as well pick at random and going with your gut feel is probably better than picking at random so you might as well.
