I will say though that this is not a judgement on people who use it. A lot of why I think it's a net harm is the way it hollows out the alternatives.

hm. as someone who has zero date potential outside of online dating, i suppose i must disagree. or i guess it could be possible that people like me not ever getting dates is better good for society.

As per https://twitter.com/GeniesLoki/status/1322982671195262977 … my preferred solution is not that you don't get dates, but that there is a greater abundance of ways to get dates some of which would serve you that are rare to absent given online dating's existence. (e.g. mixer events, speed dating)
