wait how are they supposed to work
Dislocating things is really hard and massively painful if your joints are working as intended. If they're not you might have a connective tissue disorder like EDS or something. (Or you might not! I'm not that sort of doctor. But it's definitely worth checking up on)

oh ahaha yeah that makes sense then, i guess i should look into it i've fully dislocated both shoulders at different times and it didnt hurt til after they popped themselves back in real quick (and then not massively)

Yeah that is not as I understand it what a dislocated shoulder feels like to most people at all. You should really get this looked at.
