I'm attempting to acquire a more positive impression of coaching as a concept. Do you have any positive experiences with coaches, of whatever sort you'd like to tell me about?

The coaches you see advertising in your feed *are* all charlatans. There are phenomanelly good coaches out there, their problem is they're better at coaching than self promoting.
Oh I mostly don't see people advertising in my feed because I use adblock on web and just repeatedly block anyone who promotes a tweet into my timeline on mobile.

All the same, many of the best coaches I know basically *only* get clients through word-of-mouth referrals.
