I'm attempting to acquire a more positive impression of coaching as a concept. Do you have any positive experiences with coaches, of whatever sort you'd like to tell me about?

I am a coach separately of being an Alexander Technique teacher. I can and do coaching that has nothing to do with AT, although I do combine them as well. Coaching *is* a specific set of skills that can be learned.
I stand corrected! Not right now, but do you mind if I pick your brains about this subject in private at some point?

That will take me to 200 hours of specific coach for a total cost of £12k — it's a non-trivial endeavour, which is why I think many people don't do it and just say "yeah I'm a coach"*. *which is allowed and I'm undecided on my position on it.
