Have you had much good experience, or any, attempting to engage in these spaces on this particular aspect? (I don't have any exp, but want to, which is why I'm curious!)
Hmm hard to answer because I tend to hang out on peripheries rather than becoming central members of communities. I have found most individual members of such space are quite receptive to this, and agree that it sucks, but that some people are very much not.

I suspect that if I were to bring it up in a group consisting entirely of people who would be individually receptive it would be a bit hit and miss.

Maybe nobody wants to signal any potential divergence from peers in front of them
Or, maybe a group acknowledging it may elevate its importance, but they want to focus on other things
