I think there's a lot of variation among PUAs. Some of them seem pretty positive, some seem mostly harmless, some of them seem really dangerous, and there's a full spectrum in between
At its best PUA mostly seems to be confidence building, social skills, and grooming, aimed at awkward men, but a lot of it goes beyond that into weird rapey bullshit. The former tends to get tarred with the same brush as the latter which is a shame, but the latter is easy to find
Actually now that you mention it I do remember some youtuber giving basically rape advice. "In Japan you can just forc them to kiss and they don't react" or some shit. So yeah I take it back, some of the shit I've seen is awful. i used to like mystery and strauss though.
