I mostly also didn't find Deutsch to have useful ideas when I read him TBH. There was some interesting stuff there, but I mostly failed to get along with it.

Kindof but Deutsch also had the problem that the more I knew what he was talking about the more I could spot flaws in what he was saying. Less lack of resonance and more actual disagreement.

FWIW despite liking and getting a lot of value out of talking to meaningness as a person, I too often find his work doesn't really land with me. I don't disagree with it, it often seems kinda sensible, but I don't find it especially helpful as a frame.
